BIRTHDAYS
Birthday is a special day for all children. Yet many children didn’t know of their birth day. They were told their birth day and were told to anticipate a celebration of the same. Before coming to Asha few children asked, if their birthday will be celebrated or not. Many children had their first birthday cake ever at Asha. Some of the girls had their first birthday cake after 16 years of age. It was a special day for them.
PARENTAL VISIT
Parents are encouraged to visit their children once a month and are allowed to speak on a weekly basis through video calls. Parent’s visiting day becomes a special day for children. They specially decorate the place and dress up for the visit. Each parent receives individual child performance feedback from hostel staff every month. Parents are happy with the overall way development and grooming of the child.
